Inductive components, engineered to IEC and UL standard.
ICD&C designs high- and low-frequency transformers and reactors for industrial and institutional infrastructure — from spec through production, with manufacturing partners across Europe and China.
About ICD&C
Design office and sales.
We’re a team of design engineers building inductive components — transformers and reactors, conventional and planar — for clients running industrial and institutional infrastructure projects.
Every project gets full technical support from spec to delivery, with our own engineers staying close to your electronics team throughout — not a handoff to a black box overseas.
- Design of inductive components and production specs for HF/LF transformers and reactors, per IEC/UL.
- Project and production management aligned to IEC, UL and ETL standards.
- Electronics design collaboration and European production.
- Project management run jointly with the client, end to end.
- Production and sourcing management through China manufacturing partners.

Custom design
Not on the list? We’ll design it.
Standard catalog types cover most jobs, but a lot of our work starts from a blank spec sheet — a voltage, frequency or footprint the catalog doesn’t have. Our engineers take it from there: core selection, winding layout, insulation class and mechanical mounting, built around your application rather than a datasheet.
Spec review
Voltage, frequency, power, mounting and target standard.
Design
Core, winding and insulation chosen for the application, not a template.
Prototype and test
Verified against IEC/UL before production is approved.
Production
Run through our Europe and China manufacturing partners.
Every custom design goes through the same IEC/UL verification as our standard range, with a prototype signed off before production starts.

I have fostered collaborations with customers in multiple electrotechnical sectors, enhancing their experience and satisfaction. I have also overseen quality management processes, conducted external audits, and ensured operational excellence in global companies.
As Transformer Lead Engineer at a Danish global energy company, I managed the transformer room for the V164 wind turbine type in Århus. I worked with suppliers on transformer product development for new turbine versions, addressing concessions and deficiencies and supporting subject matter experts in high-voltage equipment, with a focus on reliable transformer operation and turbine performance.
As a member of the International Electrotechnical Commission TC96 Transformer Committee, I work on the publications under TC 96’s responsibility and on revising IEC 60989 for inclusion in the IEC 61558 series.
Over the last 40 years I have designed inductive components for high- and low-frequency applications across many industrial sectors, for both small and high-volume production. I have also evaluated alternative components for a 7 MVA converter and designed control panel systems, with a focus on simplifying complex solutions — working with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective results without compromising quality.
